Preflight Inspection and Maintenance of Ultralights takes you through an extensive preflight inspection of a typical ultralight aircraft using a Quicksilver single seat Sport as an example.
Items covered include airframe tubing, cables, sails, tail sections, control linkages, engine, re-drives, props, fuel systems, landing gear, etc... Emphasis is given to sail cloth maintenance and cable maintenance. Accident prevention is stressed by citing specific past accidents and how closer inspection of known problem areas during preflight would have prevented them.
