The FAA-H-8083 series is the official FAA curricula for Part 147 A&P training and examinations. They are also the actual source of all FAA knowledge and practical exam questions. All FAA test questions are taken directly from these books. If a question is on the test, the answer is in these books. If a topic is in the book, a question may be on the test. No other brand name of A&P textbooks can make that claim.

There is also a difference between these ATB versions of the 8083 Handbooks and those from other publishers which are only a direct reprint of the original FAA copy. That difference is a correction of many dozens of errors in the FAA text which have been identified by our review team of instructors from various A&P schools.

For example: MS flareless fittings are green, not blue; most engine cooling comes from aircraft movement, not the propeller. Plus many corrected equations and mislabeling, etc.

...And, they cost less than any competing A&P manuals.
