Awareness and Prevention - Controlled flight into terrain, or CFIT, has become the number one threat to the safety of passengers and crew aboard today's corporate, regional, and large commercial transport aircraft. This acclaimed production is an integral part of Flight Safety Foundations five year campaign to reduce CFIT accidents by half. The video begins with an examination of the problem followed by an analysis of three actual CFIT cases.
Throughout the presentation, preventative measures and techniques are offered that all pilots can use to help reduce their risk of being involved in a CFIT accident.
